Samantha Grant, Director/Cinematographer
Samantha, founder of Gush Productions, is a filmmaker, journalist, and continuing lecturer at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Sam has directed & shot several feature docs for PBS, including the critically acclaimed A Fragile Trust and PBS Global feature Daughters of the Forest about empowering girls through education. Most recently Sam was the producer of the POV feature Survivors, about Ebola in Sierra Leone.
Emily Berger, Producer
Emily is a lawyer and a filmmaker who recently joined the legal team at Facebook, having spent the last four years as a legal director at Netflix and the four years prior to that at Dolby. She is a longtime election security advocate and spent many of her formative years in Florida.
Marly Hernandez, Editor
Marly is from Puerto Rico and received her MFA in directing and film production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Stephen Shuyler, Editor
Stephen began his filmmaking career in Baltimore working on independent short films and also studio productions such as Syriana (2005) and received his MFA in creative writing from the University of Maryland.
Cynthia Beauclair, Motion Graphics
Cynthia Beauclair grew up all over South America and attended American schools. She is proficient in four languages (English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese). Cynthia dove right into a career in advertising in Miami, the center of the multicultural advertising industry, and spent eight years at CBS Television as an Assistant Art Director.
Hanna Miller, Cinematographer
Hanna is from Collins, Mississippi, received her most recent degree from UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism, and contributed to capturing the authenticity of the candidate and her family while maintaining a thoughtful, well composed image.
Pollen Music Group, Music
Pollen is a San Francisco-based music collective comprised of songwriters, composers, producers and audio visionaries. Its three principals (Alexis Harte, Scot Stafford and JJ Wiesler) deftly leap from lead to support roles according to the creative and technical needs of each project. Their project, "Pearl" made cinematic history as the first VR film to be nominated for an Oscar. Pearl's score, based on their original song, "No Wrong Way Home" also won Emmy, Peabody, Annie, Proto, and Ciclope Awards.
